The Anatomy of International Arbitration is Now Available in Open Access

We are pleased to share the innovative and open-access book “The Anatomy of International Arbitration”. The book introduces key concepts of arbitration, transversal topics, and gives an overview of 11 arbitration mechanisms written by experts with first-hand experience. 

Since 2022, the book editors Anna Petrig and Yarik Kryvoi — former Harvard Law School classmates and co-directors of the Arbitration Lab — have organized the annual Basel Winter Arbitration School and London Summer Arbitration School. In preparing teaching materials, they encountered a lack of concise, accessible, accurate, and up-to-date introductions to the principal mechanisms and cross-cutting issues of international arbitration.

“The Anatomy of International Arbitration” fills this gap. It offers concise introductions to key cross-cutting topics and arbitration mechanisms presented within a common framework, serving both as an entry point for newcomers and a comparative guide for practitioners, advanced students and scholars.

The editors wish to thank the authors – all eminent experts in their respective fields – who contributed chapters.
