    Rupert Choat

    Rupert Choat QC, LL.M (Cambridge)

    Rupert Choat QC is a barrister, arbitrator and mediator with Atkin Chambers in London.

    Rupert has specialised in construction, engineering, PFI/PPP, energy and similar disputes since 1997. He has worked on disputes concerning projects in over 50 jurisdictions, most of which were governed by the local law.

    Rupert has a particular interest in comparative construction law.  He is contributing editor for Global Arbitration Review’s Construction Arbitration which compares the laws of different jurisdictions on common construction law issues.

    Rupert is an experienced advocate from the English Court of Appeal to arbitration venues around the world. He practises as an arbitrator and has sat in ICC, LCIA, DIAC, SCC, Finnish Chamber of Commerce and ad hoc arbitrations.  Rupert is also a CEDR-accredited mediator.

    Rupert teaches from time to time at King’s College, London on the Construction Law & Dispute Resolution MSc course.
